History of A.C. Corcoran Elementary

A.C. Corcoran Elementary was named for Albert Cleveland Corcoran, who was
the author of the Clemson University and Stall High and former Ben
Tillman schools. He was a teacher and principal for 35 years in
Charleston County, serving 25 of those years as head of Ben Tillman
School. Corcoran entered Clemson University at 16 years of age after
winning a national competitive scholarship.
